Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies from 1988 through 1991.〔Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies (RIJS), (Director, 1988-1991 )〕 Formerly, Bolitho was a member of the faculty of Monash University〔 and he taught at the University of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.
